Sinai, was born Jermaine Morris, and grew up in the projects of New Haven, Connecticut. His mother gave her life to the Lord before he was born and struggled to keep her three children from the streets. When Sinai was 11, she followed the leading of the Lord and moved her children to Virginia. Because the family moved almost once a year, Sinai struggled with a desire to be accepted by his new "friends." Like many youth lacking the love and acceptance of a strong father figure, Sinai got involved in the street life. Years after nearly losing his life on three separate occasions, he began to realize that God had protected him throughout all of the bad experiences he had endured. As God began to show Sinai the gifts that had been instilled in him, God gave Sinai a longing to reach others and show them a better way to live life and to live that life through Jesus Christ.
Sinai joined Nigel "Legin" Anderson, Mike Bell, and the Renaissance Movement Music family in 2014 and released his first EP, "Red Flag" in the fall of 2014. Sinai has opened for such national and international artists as Canton Jones, Tedashii, KB, Social Club, Christon Gray, Canon and Canvas. He has also collaborated with such artists as Primisis, Tone Jonez, Yankee B, and Sean Slaughter. Sinai was a headliner on the RMM’s 2014 Experience Renaissance [ER] Tour and shared the same stage as KevonStage.
As with all RMM artists, Sinai can speak to the hardships that our people in our culture are experience today. He hopes to inspire people that they can overcome all obstacles through Jesus. Lyrically, his punchlines, passion, and delivery highlight him as a stand out artist. His music is intense, uplifting, and effectively challenges culture while reaching listeners with the hope of Jesus Christ.
